DOVER, MA – At their scheduled meeting on Thursday, December 22, 2011, the Town of Dover Board of Selectmen unanimously voted to appoint Charles S. Marscher as full time Patrolman for the Town of Dover Police Department.
Marscher graduated Westfield State University in 2007 with a bachelors of science degree in criminal justice and a minor in sociology. He was appointed to the part time position of Special Officer with this department in January of 2009, where he has since worked concurrently as an officer of the Wentworth Institute of Technology Police Department.
“Marscher is a team player, and has been an excellent fit here in Dover since his arrival,” said Police Chief Peter A. McGowan, adding “he will be a welcome addition to the ranks of one of the best police departments in the state.”
Marscher will join the patrol staff on January 2, 2012, working with the department’s other 10 patrolmen and 4 sergeants.
