Town of Dover Police Department
Dover has joined the ranks of hundreds of other communities across the nation by assigning a police officer to act as liasion between the schools and police department . This specially trained officer called a School Resource Officers, or “SRO’s” for short, will help enhance school security and provide law enforcement education and counseling. Officers act as a resource to teachers, parents, and students by providing direction or advice on law related issues. SRO’s also provide classroom instruction on law related topics such as violence diffusion, safety programs, drug prevention, and teenage drinking.
