DPD Hosting Internet Safety Night For Parents

DOVER, MA – On Wednesday, November 7, 2012, from 7 – 9pm, the Dover Police Department, along with the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council (MetroLEC) and the Sherborn Police Department, will host a forum on internet safety for parents. The event will be held at Mudge Auditorium at the Dover Sherborn Regional Schools Lindquist Commons building. The event aims to provide parents with information to recognize and avoid dangerous, destructive and unlawful online behavior and to learn how to respond appropriately. DS students have taken part in classes to raise awareness about online safety issues, and this event will provide parents with the information they need to open a dialogue with their children. Some of the topics to be addressed include cyber bullying, social networking and eletronic devices. The event is open to all parents, and will conclude with a question and answer session.
