Chief McGowan Appointed Secretary Treasurer of the FBI National Academy Associates

DOVER, MA – The Town of Dover is pleased to announce that Chief of Police Peter McGowan has been appointed as the Secretary Treasurer of the FBI National Academy Associates, New England Chapter. Chief McGowan was sworn in to this volunteer post this past December by Special Agent in Charge of the Boston FBI office, Vincent Lisi.

The FBI National Academy Associates, Inc, is an organization made up of over 14,000 National Academy graduates across the world. Its mission is to foster networking, training and development annually throughout its 44 Domestic Chapters and 4 International Chapters. The New England Chapter encompasses the states of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. Chief McGowan is excited for the new challenges and responsibilities that this position will bring in the months and years ahead, and looks forward to working with law enforcement leaders in New England and across the country to further the FBINAA’s mission. He is grateful for the Dover Board of Selectmen’s support.
